Today at story time, we made bird feeders:
The project was a hit, although I’m not sure if more peanut butter ended up on pine cones or in mouths….
If you missed story time today and would like to try this project, all you need is a pine cone, string, peanut butter, and birdseed. Tie the string to the pine cone first. Then use a spoon to put the peanut butter on the pine cone. Roll the peanut buttery pine cone in the bird seed, and you’ve got a cute and natural bird feeder which is sure to bring the birds flocking for another nature lesson.
Story time next week (February 29th, 10:30) we’ll do another of our Early Literacy programs: Letters Everywhere. And there’s a special giveaway, so be sure to be here!
