  1. This book gave a lot of information on slavery and how they got out and moved on with their lives. How White men thought women and skin color met you were not able to be educated. I still find it hard to believe some of this was still going on when I was growing up even when we first moved to Augusta they thought my father was a black man till he took off his shirt. I liked the case were the family just up and disappeared will the slave handler went to eat lunch. the case were the whole town not once but twice protected the run away slaves and free blacks was well wrote and I wanted to be their in that time fighting for them. It made me look at what I have been putting off and how I can help in my house. this book should be a book that our young people should read not that they will get the book now but maybe latter in live may rember and relies they got something out of this book.
